The short version on trials, usage, billing, and plan changes.
No. You can start the Free plan without adding a credit card. You only need billing details when you decide to switch to pay-as-you-go billing, add paid usage, or move to an enterprise agreement.
Your collections stay in your account. Switching to pay-as-you-go billing unlocks paid usage and higher limits, so you can keep working with the collections and videos you already created.
The Free plan gives you 14 days to try the core workflow: create collections, upload videos, index content, and test search. When the trial ends, you can upgrade to continue using paid features and larger usage limits.
Deleting a collection removes that collection from your workspace, but it does not automatically change your billing plan. If you delete your account, access is scheduled for removal according to the account deletion flow and any active billing should be cancelled or handled through your billing settings or support.
You can switch from pay-as-you-go billing back to Free from billing settings when self-serve billing is available. If you do not see that option, contact support and we will help move the account back to the Free plan where eligible.
The infrastructure fee covers the managed systems required to process and search video, including GPU indexing, frame extraction, transcript processing, vector search, storage operations, and API infrastructure.
The Free plan includes 500MB of total storage and 30 searches per day. If you hit either limit, or run out of trial credits, search and indexing pause until you add credits or switch to pay-as-you-go billing — your existing collections and videos aren't affected.
Input video duration is calculated from the length of the uploaded video file. For example, a 30 minute video counts as 30 minutes of indexing, even if you later search only a few moments from that file.
