Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy describes uses of Pureframe AI's products, APIs, and websites that are prohibited or restricted. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to everyone who accesses or uses the Services, including through an API key, and to anyone whose activity is directed or authorized by an account holder.
2. General prohibited uses
You may not use the Services to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else's violation of law.
Engage in or facilitate fraud, phishing, or deceptive impersonation of a person, business, or government entity.
Infringe or misappropriate anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
Incite, threaten, or facilitate violence, self-harm, or abuse against any person or group.
Generate, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes minors — see Terms of Service §4 for our detection, reporting, and enforcement process.
Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data, including through credential stuffing, exploitation of vulnerabilities, or circumvention of authentication or rate limits.
Transmit malware, or use the Services to develop, test, or deploy malware or other harmful code.
Send spam, or unsolicited bulk communications, through or using the Services.
Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Services' infrastructure, or attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying models, weights, or source code except as expressly permitted by the Terms of Service.
Resell, sublicense, or provide standalone access to the Services to third parties without our prior written authorization, other than through products you build that use the Services as a backend component.
Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Services outside of the documented API.
3. AI-specific prohibited and restricted uses
You may not use the Services, or outputs generated by the Services, to:
Build, train, or improve a product or model that competes with Pureframe AI's video search, indexing, or retrieval offerings, including by using Service outputs as training or fine-tuning data for a competing model.
Perform biometric identification, facial recognition, or surveillance of identifiable individuals without a lawful basis and any consent required by applicable law — including for immigration enforcement, mass surveillance, or covert tracking of individuals or groups.
Generate or facilitate non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexualized depictions of real, identifiable individuals without their consent.
Create deceptive synthetic media (for example, deepfakes) that impersonates a real person in a way likely to mislead, without clear disclosure that the content is synthetic and, where the person is identifiable, without their consent.
Make consequential automated decisions about individuals — such as employment, credit, housing, insurance, benefits eligibility, or law enforcement action — without meaningful human review, as further described in Terms of Service §9.
Infer or generate sensitive attributes about identifiable individuals (such as health status, sexual orientation, immigration status, religious belief, or protected-class membership) without a lawful basis.
Target, profile, or track minors, or use the Services in products directed at children without appropriate safeguards and legal basis.
Generate or distribute disinformation intended to interfere with an election, referendum, or other civic process, or to impersonate election officials or authorities.
Use the Services in the design, development, or operation of weapons systems, or in any application whose primary purpose is to cause physical harm.
4. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe your use of the Services violates this AUP, we may — without limiting other remedies available under the Terms of Service — remove or restrict access to affected content, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve and report relevant information to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law. Where practical and not otherwise required by law, we aim to notify the account owner of the action taken and the reason for it.
5. Reporting a violation
If you believe someone is using the Services in violation of this AUP, contact us at support@pureframe.ai with enough detail for us to investigate.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting an updated version on this page.
